INTELLIGENT BODY CAMERA TECHNOLOGY

BodyWorn by Utility ushered in a new dawn for digital video surveillance, which is lightyears ahead of its competition, and renamed it EOS by Utility.

MORE THAN JUST A BODY CAMERA

The technology embedded in the officers’ uniforms to prevent them from detaching is the only system that can facilitate policy-based, high-speed data collection that delivers instant, transparent and secure intelligence when time and truth are critical. And its enhanced user interface offers an improved media layout, unified media and messages page, an audio recorder, and more.

EOS FEATURES

AUTOMATED ACTIVATION

The assistive features operate seamlessly within our complete evidence ecosystem, using artificial intelligence to create situational awareness. It offers a two-minute buffer, which records even before a video is manually started, and several other automatic recording functionalities designed to remove the officers’ burden and allow them to focus entirely on the situation at hand.

SMART HOLSTER
SENSOR

EOS detects the moment a firearm is removed from its holster and sends real-time alerts to dispatch and nearby officers when seconds mean lives and intelligence matters.

OFFICER
DOWN

Suppose an officer becomes prone in the field or lies flat for several seconds (the duration determined by an individual agency). In that case, Officer Down notifies all cars in the district that an officer needs immediate assistance.

VEHICLE
SENSORS

EOS makes automatic, intelligent, and configurable decisions on when to start and stop recording. For example, when an officer’s lights and/or sirens are activated, recording automatically begins—allowing police officers to focus on serving the community.

FOOT PURSUIT
ACTIVIATION

EOS detects when an officer is running and triggers the recording with a built-in accelerometer. This feature allows officers to focus on high-stress encounters and, if necessary for a case or training, will enable others to review how a pursuit began.

ACTION
ZONES

When an officer enters or exits a pre-defined geographical area or action zone, EOS records and provides the intuitive feedback needed in the force. Action zones can be created manually or from CAD calls, making them flexible enough to create real value for the department.

EOS is the smartest body camera in the industry, helping police officers automatically capture, offload and view media evidence.

EOS BodyWorn’s policy-based platform allows agencies to decide how to manage their smart-policing solution. Collected media uploads automatically to CJIS Compliant cloud-based storage, which greatly improves the security of agency databases.

Departments using the EOS body worn camera have access to the Polaris™ evidence management system where users can search incidents, track fleets, redact video and more under a secure chain-of-custody.

With this solution, agencies experience software application updates that maintain pace with the growth and evolution of new technology.

Features of EOS include:

• Automatic Policy-Based Recording Triggers

• Real-Time Communications

• Immediate Wireless Offload

• Secure Mounting System that works with any uniform

• Officer-Down Alerts

EOS by Utility, Inc. is a future-proof solution that overcomes significant pitfalls that are found in competing police body-worn cameras. Utility developed this smart device to provide agencies with greater benefits than a manually operated camera. EOS BodyWorn camera automatically records, based on policies when triggers are activated. Command centers and 911 dispatchers can send live messages to EOS Body Worn devices and view live streaming during critical moments. The video, audio and metadata automatically and securely uploads to cloud storage, eliminating the inconvenience of physically docking the device. EOS BodyWorn is more powerful than ever now, with a 90 + degree field of view and 12 continuous hours of video recording with inductive charging.
