Yard Access Point (YAP)

The Yard Access Point (YAP) provides long-range high speed data file transfers optimized for the Rocket™ in vehicles. Ideal for transferring large files when a vehicle with the Rocket™ drives into a yard or parking lot. 12" x 8" x 3" dimensions without antennas.

Dual-Band Access Point. The Yard Access Point (YAP) is a dual-band access point with two radio cards. One radio card is 802.11b/g 2.4GHz WiFi. The second radio card is either 4.9Ghz or 5GHz supporting 802.11a. This allows Rockets™ in vehicles with optional 4.9GHz or 5GHz radio cards to upload a Gigabyte of data in less than 5 minutes. Dual antennas provide antenna diversity for reliable long-range data file transfers and connectivity.

Durable and Weatherproof. The weatherproof aluminum enclosure allows the Yard Access Point to be mounted on a pole out in the yard or parking lot, or on the side of a building. Includes mounting bracket and four 12" antennas.

PoE – Power over Ethernet. The Yard Access Point is a passive PoE (Power over Ethernet) device. A passive PoE power injector is included.

.Marine Rocket™. The same enclosure can house Rocket™ electronics with an embedded cellular USB or express data card. Ideal for boats and other harsh external environments. Note that the cellular data card has to be embedded in the Marine Rocket™ at the factory, and is not field upgradable to newer generation cellular broadband communications.
