AVaiL RFID AVaiL RFID™ delivers near real-time information on the location and status of virtually any mobile resource from toolboxes to backhoes, personnel to vehicles. The RFID system consists of short or long-range readers connected to the OnComm-Rocket™ that can identify any object with an RFID tag. Short-range readers reach approximately 30 feet and long-range readers reach from 600 to 2,000 feet from the antenna. Long-range readers may also be used to record the location of resources as the vehicle drives by at high speed. Every tag provides a unique identifier of the resource. This identifier is linked to an asset description is defined by the enterprise. For example, the description may include model and serial number or name, phone number and skill set. With AVaiL RFIDTM the mobile enterprise will know: • Who is riding in the vehicle, and when and where they departed from and returned to the vehicle. • What tools are being carried by the vehicle, and when and where they were removed from and returned to the vehicle. • What is being towed by the vehicle, and when and where it was dropped off or picked up. • Where and when the vehicle with a long-range reader drove by an RFID-tagged asset.
