The Rocket™ is a comprehensive mobile communication hub. With secure dual WiFi connectivity, the Rocket's™ on-board computer provides highly reliable, broadband Internet connectivity and the latest generation SiRFStar III GPS. The Rocket™ also seamlessly interfaces with a broad range of Mobile Applications such as AVaiL RFID™ and AVaiL Diagnostics™.
The Rocket™ provides the following capabilities:
- Broadband Wireless Connectivity. Connect a laptop or other mobile computing device to the Rocket™ utilizing standard 802.11b/g/n WiFi technology within a 600 to 1,000-foot radius of the vehicle and gain broadband Internet access through the cellular provider of choice. With dual-WiFi capability the Rocket™ can automatically switch between a private WiFi network and a cellular network, ensuring users consistently receive the highest speed and service. Problematic and expensive cables and docking stations with damage-prone connectors are no longer required.
- Wireless Network Agnostic. Simply insert a cellular wireless Express PC or USB modem card into the Rocket™ to access the wireless data network of your choice.
- Managed Connectivity. The Rocket’s™ proprietary firmware continuously manages the GPS, WiFi, RFID, broadband and digital wireless services, automatically reconnecting dropped services and maintaining service in rural areas.
The Rocket™ seamlessly connects with the following AVaiL™ services:
- Multi-Cast GPS. A SiRFStar III GPS device may be securely connected to the Rocket™. The GPS signal may be transmitted to any specified physical or virtual port of a WiFi connected PC or device while simultaneously sending the location information to the AVaiL™ Command and Control Service.
- AVaiL RFID™. Track the location and status of field assets from toolboxes to backhoes, personnel to vehicles.
- AVaiL Diagnostics™. Delivers near real-time vehicle diagnostic information from the vehicle’s ODBII/CAN and J-Bus engine computer interface.
- AVaiL Navigator™. Provides an On-Board Navigation capability with vehicle location, turn-by-turn directions, voice prompts, and automatic reroutes when the vehicle departs from the planned route.
- AVaiL Boost™. Significantly boosts cellular signal transmission power, extending the range of cellular connectivity up to 30-miles depending upon topography, eliminating many “dead spots” and providing a cellular connection when you otherwise have none.
